AG Quality and patient safety research

Brief description

The Working Group on Quality and Patient Safety Research (QPSF) was founded at the 13th Conference for Health Services Research (DKVF) in June 2014 in Düsseldorf. Its goals are the promotion of quality and patient safety research and the networking of thematically active researchers from the various professional associations and other member groups of the Network for Health Services Research. Furthermore, sessions will be held at the DKVF and seminars will be offered at the Spring School. The working group is significantly involved in the preparation of comments on IQTIG's development projects. In 2017, the QPSF working group described fundamental considerations on the methods of quality and patient safety research in a methods memorandum

Current information

At the end of 2019, the WG QPSF publishes a position paper "Suitability of quality indicator sets in health care for different applications - need for research and action". (Publication in "Das Gesundheitswesen").


Continuation of the work priorities from previous years. In addition, the working group will be the main contact for the German Coalition for Patient Safety (Aktionsbündnis Patientensicherheit), with which the DNVF has agreed to cooperate. The Cooperation partners have undertaken joint projects and intensive exchanges.
